Atomic Backland Carbon - 2021/22

With a carbon carapace and backbone, and friction-free, smooth pivoting joints, these boots are rigged for backcountry escapades. The liners are warm and perforated so they breathe during the day and dry out overnight. The ski/walk mechanism frees the cuff from the shell for an incredible 74 degrees of mobility, so hiking isn't a chore. Remove the tongues for even more comfort on the way up, and slide them back in for performance on the ride back down.

  • Shell and cuff are made of ultralight carbon reinforced with Grilamid.
  • Carbon spine adds responsiveness and power transmission while maintaining sensitivity at the front of the boot.
  • 98mm last has a somewhat narrow fit.
  • Quick click tongue allows you to switch from no tongue for climbing to a supportive tongue for skiing.
  • Breathable Platinum liner uses light Ultralon foam that's thermo-mouldable and hand washable. Perforations allow them to dry overnight.
  • Liner has supportive zones in calf, ankle and tongue for great downhill performance.
  • 2.0 ski/walk mechanism gives you 74-degree range of motion for climbing and 13-15 degrees of forward lean for skiing.
  • Frictionless pivot uses polymer bushings to provide natural movement on ascents.
  • 3-point cross lace on forefoot wraps and holds your foot securely.
  • 2 aluminum buckles and a 30mm super light strap.
  • Rockered rubber sole.
  • Compatible with tech bindings only.
