The VJ Lightspeed is an ultralight racing shoe developed together with elite trail runner Juuso Simpanen with the goal to create the fastest trail running shoe in the world. The shoe features VJ's new perFOAMance midsole, which is made of hi-tech and ultra-light material that offers extreme cushioning and energy return. The midsole is finished with a branched composite plate which pushes the runner forward as a spring would do. The reason the plate is branched is to offer sideways flexibility for optimizing balance in uneven and everchanging terrain.
The Lightspeed features VJ's famous Superior Contact outsole made of their butyl rubber compound, offering the best grip on the planet, in any terrain. The upper is a light, breathable and durable one-piece that fits on the foot like a sock, while still offering enough support for your run. VJ's innovative Fitlock system offers an optimal fit by locking the foot from the arch. It also offers extra protection for the arch from the impacts the foot is facing while running.
